Hey Jude!

Jude is feeling inspired right now.

Wake up to the world

We had a 5.8 magnitude earthquake just before noon today. Normally, I would have been sleeping, but I have been trying to get my lazy butt out of bed earlier lately. I think the earthquake was intended to get everyone up and moving. Running for doorways, tripping over the crap on their floor in the process. (Yes, maybe I am speaking from experience.)
what really makes me angry is that my best friend’s phone is out of service right now, so had it been a bigger earthquake and knocked, say, my big bookshelf down on top of me, or the roof had collapsed, I wouldn’t have been able to call him and tell him I love him. Doesn’t that suck?
Aw, someone I know just proposed to his girlfriend. She said yes :) Congratulations, Harrison! She’d've been pretty dumb to say no anyway! Lol.

:) I’m off to clean my room! lol

P.S. Check out The Track Record’s song Wake Up To The World if you can.

oooh, woah woah woah, yeah!

Megan and I have been working hard all day (sort of, we’re easily side tracked) on getting the Over-Exposure site up and running. Hopefully it will be done in about a week or a tad more. My mom has been sort of sad all day because her mom might have to have surgery, which is basically why her dad died. I don’t really know what to do. I always wish I were a movie, because actors always get the best lines. The magic words. I don’t have to go to work today :]). I don’t even know why I am writing this post. I just think my blog looks lonely.

Hold me to this: I strive to make my music site a constructive and safe environment for fans and musicians alike. I hate how AP bags on websites and bands, when they have the resources and opportunities to help the bands they bag on improve or to focus on the good bands and just exclude the bad. If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all. I hope my music site will never bag on anything. If we don’t like something, we wont include it or we will be constructive in our criticisms.

I am really excited for this website to be running. I can continue my magazine work without the printing and distributing costs and reach a wider audience. I can only see upsides to this for now. I know we need a real website and resources eventually that will cost money, but, hey. All in good time.

I will soon be adding a some music surveys so you can get to know my tastes, some likes, dislikes, a bio, etc so you can get to know me :) Make sure you check that out, so we can be friends :) .

p.s. the blog title is sort of a line in the song “Mountain Song” by Jane’s Addiction.

Woo Hoo!

Yesterday, I got confirmation from Megan that she will be coming to California in August!
For those of you who don’t know who Megan is, I met her online on the To Write Love On Her Arms forums on Fancorps.com. We are both big fans of Circa Survive, and I was trying to find a ride to San Francisco, Bakersfield, Anaheim and Hollywood to follow them on tour. My parents did not want to drive me, so I joked around to Megan, “hey, haha, wanna give me a ride?” She ended up being down for a road trip and came to my house, all the way from Arizona.
This August, Anthony Green (singer of Circa Survive) will put out a solo album, and go on tour for it. Megan is going to drive back out here and we’r e going to drive up to Orangevale, San Francisco, and then down to Anaheim, Hollywood, and San Diego. All the way up and down the coast!
I’m really excited. Road Trips + Anthony Green = 2 times as cool as just a road trip. =)
